Dr Ian Abbs

Ian became Medical Director at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in January 2011. As a full member of the Trust Board he is accountable for strategic and operational objectives at one of the UK’s largest teaching hospitals with a yearly turnover of over £2 billion, 13,000 staff and 2 million patient contacts per year. As Medical Director, Ian’s leadership portfolio includes clinical standards, governance, risk management, research and development, and medical education and training. Ian has recently completed his Executive MBA at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK.

Jake has been involved in healthcare for over 20 years. He is an entrepreneur, consultant, non-executive board member, founder and Executive Chairman of COBIC Ltd and a former Chief Executive. Through his consultancy Carradale, Jake works with a variety of organisations from both the private and public sector, linking them together allowing them to maximise each other’s potential. Jake manages and advises companies using expertise and experience from the industry and through this has developed a broad network across the private, public and voluntary sector both in the UK and internationally. Jenny Blundell

Jenny is currently the General Manager for Women’s Services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. She started her career in the NHS in 2006 as a Graduate Management trainee and since then has held a number of operational and strategic roles in the NHS and overseas. Jenny is starting a new role in early March as the programme manager for the London digital Heath accelerator. She is passionate about digital health and supporting both SMEs and the NHS to rapidly realise the benefits from this emerging sector.
